The iconographic documents in this edition have been selected in such a way that the reader, carried by the unmistakable charm of Neagu Djuvara, can approach, as if looking in a family album made up of several generations, the people of the past: divided Romanians, Romanian lords and kings, with their friends and enemies, how we had them in politics in triumph or great sorrow, and sometimes even the people themselves, whom histories often forget. Together, the text and images make up a wonderful illustrated history of the Romanians.
